Imagine Cup 2012 : Doctor Me

Our Project:

Doctor Me is the ultimate application that will improve and make your life simpler, not only will it be able to help you gain time on your medication’s renewal. Doctor Me will also allow you to see how many calories you have consumed and how many you have burned. With our program you can also save time because you will be able to make appointments with your doctor online.

Doctors using Doctor Me and you will be able to dialogue with one another and you will be able to get the renewal of your prescription without having to waste all of the time you usually waste to go and see your doctor (taking your car / metro, waiting in the lounge, having the appointment and going back home). Doctor Me is not here to replace your face to face appointments; regular checkup appointments with your doctor will still be required to make sure that you are in good health.

With the weight management module you will be able to share with your friends on Facebook and Twitter how you are moving along. Also you will be able to undertake challenges. For example “no chocolates for 1 week” which will give you a Sugar badge if you last the whole week without chocolate. It has been recently found out that doing diets won’t solve all the weight problems. As 4 out of 5 people in the long run will gain more weight than what they initially had. Indeed, as soon as the diet is over they fell back into their bad habits. The weight management module helps people being aware of these bad habits so that they can correct them.

Our Target

Who is the target audience for Doctor Me ?

Patients who do not wish to waste time when all they need is a prescription, Doctors who wish to spend more time on patients that really need their consultation and expertise, not just a renewal. Governmental Institutions that wish to improve their citizens’ lives by making online consulting possible for renewal of prescriptions.

We also plan to target people who want to monitor what and how much they eat as Doctor Me allows you to track how many calories you have consumed, how many you have burned and your weight’s evolution. All these information are summed up in highly visual graphs showing user’s progression.

Finally we wanted to target people who wished to take up a challenge with other people so that they can live a healthier lifes together.

"RD team is proud to present CondomsEverywhere which is the first application that will allow you to protect yourself against sexually transmitted diseases.

CondomsEverywhere will allow you to quickly and easily find information on HIV, Chancroid, Chlamydia and other STDs. Not only will CondomsEverywhere allow you to get information on sexually transmitted diseases, it will also tell you what kind of protection you should use or what you should do to avoid getting infected. CondomsEverywhere will also teach you how to use male & female condoms.

Most importantly CondomsEverywhere will allow you to quickly find the nearest condom reseller near you. Thanks to the hard work that the RD team has done, by trying to located as many vending machines and pharmacies we have created a database that our user will be able to access so that they can find the nearest condom or other protection near themselves."
